Hans studier av fr\u00e4mst de gamla isl\u00e4ndska skalderna samt de antika f\u00f6rfattarna ledde honom s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom fram till slutsatsen att Platons Atlantis inte alls var en produkt av fantasi och dikt, utan i sj\u00e4lva verket syftade p\u00e5 Sverige. St\u00f6rre delen av Europas kultur och en stor del av Asiens kultur hade f\u00f6ljdaktligen utg\u00e5tt fr\u00e5n Sverige. 1677 publicerades Rudbecks stora verk d\u00e4r dessa teser fanns samlade, Atlantica.<\/p>\n<p>Rudbecks fynd gav sedermera upphov till en historieskrivningstradition, g\u00f6ticismen. Denna kom att anv\u00e4ndas flitigt i propagandan under stormaktstidens Sverige. G\u00f6ticisterna fokuserade mycket p\u00e5 runor och runskrift och arvet som kunde uttydas ur dessa. Den p\u00e5 tiden tunna kunskapsbasen gav utrymme f\u00f6r vidlyftig spekulation; klassiska Thebe var i sj\u00e4lva verket T\u00e4by och Herkules var en omskrivning av H\u00e4r-Kolle. Troja l\u00e5g inte alls i det antika Grekland, utan orten Tr\u00f6gd utanf\u00f6r Enk\u00f6ping(!) G\u00f6ticisterna sysslade inte bara med vidlyftiga tolkningar, man skapade \u00e4ven falsarier i sin iver att ber\u00e4tta den stora ber\u00e4ttelsen. Den vetenskapliga teorin och metodiken har utvecklats med j\u00e4ttelika kliv sedan Rudbecks tid, eller&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.arkeologi.uu.se\/personal\/presentationer\/annika-larsson\/\">Annika Larsson<\/a>, forskare i arkeologi vid den gamle Rudbecks universitet, Uppsala, tycker att &#8221;det \u00e4r dags att vi moderniserar vikingen och omv\u00e4rderar etablerade f\u00f6rest\u00e4llningar&#8221;. I fallet med det omskrivna tygstycket d\u00e4r man p\u00e5st\u00e5r sig ha hittat orden &#8221;Allah&#8221; och &#8221;Ali&#8221; verkar man p\u00e5 ett mera pseudovetenskapligt s\u00e4tt verkligen ha utg\u00e5tt fr\u00e5n att den etablerade f\u00f6rest\u00e4llningen ska omv\u00e4rderas (p\u00e5 ett mycket specifikt s\u00e4tt) f\u00f6r att sedan ha gett sig i kast med att hitta st\u00f6d f\u00f6r detta.<\/p>\n<p>Eric van der Heeg smular fullkomligen s\u00f6der den i m\u00e5nga etablerade medier okritiskt spridda uppgiften i en <a href=\"https:\/\/ledarsidorna.se\/2017\/10\/slow-culture-vikingabedrageriet-i-birka-case-closed\/\">artikel<\/a> i Ledarsidorna.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8221;Vad Larsson har gjort<\/strong> f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 de geometriska m\u00f6nstren att se ut som om det stod \u201dAllah\u201d, \u00e4r att klippa av \u00e4ndarna p\u00e5 bandet, d\u00e4r det finns en meanderformation, samt foga dessa element\u00a0utanp\u00e5 ett parti med ett diagonalt kamm\u00f6nster, samt vrida till\u00e4gget 90 grader. Om man d\u00e4refter tittar p\u00e5 resultatet i en spegel, framtr\u00e4der n\u00e5got som med lite god vilja kan l\u00e4sas som \u201dAllah\u201d, p\u00e5 arabiska, eller r\u00e4ttare sagt \u201dillah\u201d, vilket som sj\u00e4lvst\u00e4ndig stavelsesammans\u00e4ttning\u00a0inte betyder n\u00e5gonting. Genom sin klipp-och-klistrametod har Larsson dessutom f\u00f6rst\u00f6rt m\u00f6jligheten att anv\u00e4nda bandet just som en halslinning.
